This would give the England captain just two matches to get into shape before the European Championship in the summer. That said, this is good news since the striker was initially feared to miss the rest of the season.

Mourinho gave a concise answer when asked about the striker’s availability during the pre-match press conference prior to the FA Cup replay against Southampton.

The Spurs boss expects the striker to be ready to face Leicester City. Tottenham face Leicester on the 9th of May at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. (h/t Premier League)

England face a striker crisis with Marcus Rashford also out with a long-term injury. The injury to Kane will be a major worry for Southgate leading up to their first game against Croatia on 14th June.

Tottenham are left with no senior striker in the absence of the 26-year-old. The addition of Steven Bergwijn in January should provide the club with enough attacking impetus until Kane’s return.
