Chelsea midfielder Willian drops Tottenham transfer hint

Brazilian midfielder Willian has hinted at reuniting with Jose Mourinho at Tottenham in the summer, according to the Mirror.

The 31-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has not agreed on fresh terms with Chelsea. He joined the Blues in 2013 and has gone on to score 57 goals in 323 games for the club. He shared a close working relationship with then Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

Willian was full of praise for his former boss, labelling him as one of the best coaches he has ever played for (h/t Mirror). He admitted that the Portuguese is a demanding coach and although there were conflicts, they shared a good relationship.

He revealed that Mourinho gave what he got and was equally open in his praise and criticism. Revealing himself to be a fan of the 57-year-old’s man-management, Willian admitted that he learned a lot.

Mourinho signed the Brazilian at Chelsea and in spite of leaving the club in 2015, they both have remained in touch. Willian admitted that they are friends and sometimes exchange messages.

Mourinho was keen on reuniting with the midfielder while at Manchester United but it will be interesting to see if it finally happens at Tottenham.
