Mauricio Pochettino’s son keeps family name flying high at Tottenham
According to a report by Evening Standard, Mauricio Pochettino’s son has kept the family name flying high at Tottenham Hotspur. Maurizio Pochettino, 19, put in an exemplary display to guide the Spurs U23 side to a 3-2 win against Wolves in the Premier League 2.
Incidentally, the game took place on Mauricio Pochettino’s 48th birthday and the young Maurizio provided a well-timed assist for Troy Parrott’s opening goal.
He continued to subject Wolves to a hard time and eventually, got his name on the scoresheet. The youngster was a key part of the U18 side last year and he was even rewarded with a fresh contract last July. And this term, the teenager has been impressing for the U23 side.
Although he was substituted after about 70 minutes, Tottenham managed to retain their lead despite two late goals from their opponents.
Everything that Pochettino has done for our club as a manager can never be repaid in any shape or form. He is easily one of our most successful managers of all time and it is great to still hear his name in and around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Prior to his appointment, we were struggling to get into top-four but gradually, Pochettino took us forward and made us capable of challenging for more. He also had a hand in the development of players like Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Harry Winks, to name a few.

His son Maurizio is a forward by trade and with Troy Parrott making his presence felt in the first-team squad, let’s hope the former also follows suit. As far as our first-team is concerned, we could certainly do with the injection of some young blood – especially in the attacking unit.
