Reputed journalist claims Mourinho will look to sign 6 new players this summer
Jose Mourinho isn’t happy with the current Tottenham squad at his disposal and will look to sign six new players this summer, claims reputed journalist Kaveh Solhekol (h/t Sky Sports).
Mourinho was named the manager of Tottenham in November last year, after the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino. Upon his arrival, the Portuguese claimed that he was very happy with the squad he inherited and didn’t wish to sign anybody in the January transfer window (h/t Sky Sports).

Since then though, Tottenham have been hit hard with injuries and the manager has bemoaned the lack of options at his disposal, especially in the attacking department (h/t The Guardian).
Now, Sky Sports’ reporter Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that Jose was never happy with the current Tottenham squad and could go on to make as many as six signings before the next season. During Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk Q&A special, he said:
“There’s no chance that Jose Mourinho is happy with his Tottenham squad. When Mourinho got the Spurs job, he said he was happy with his squad. He didn’t mean it. He was just saying the right thing.”
The reporter further added that Mourinho could sign six players this summer, highlighting the club’s need to bring in a new backup goalkeeper, a right-back, a left-back, a centre-half, a central midfielder and a new striker.
