Richard Keys claims Willian is set to sign for Tottenham Hotspur
Willian’s future has been a subject of intense transfer speculation, with the winger’s contract with Chelsea expiring at the end of the season. Tottenham are among a number of clubs interested in securing his services once his deal runs out.
The Brazilian has dropped subtle hints at a move to Tottenham in the recent past, often coming out in praise of manager Jose Mourinho. And now, Richard Keys, on the Keys & Grey Show has claimed that the veteran Premier League star’s move to our club is all but done.
“He’s another one that’s already spoken to Jose Mourinho. He is on his way to Tottenham.”
This ought to come as a huge boost for our club. Willian, at 31, will not be a long-term addition by any means. But the Brazilian’s experience and proven pedigree makes him a fine addition to the squad.
What makes him an even more attractive prospect is that the Brazilian international will not cost us a penny in transfer fees with his contract expiring at Chelsea.
Tottenham came close to signing Willian back in 2013, only for Chelsea to steal him from under our noses. Hopefully, the club avoids another situation like that this time out and gets the deal over the line.

During his with Chelsea, Willian has won two Premier League titles and the UEFA Europa League trophy. Someone who has been vital to their success in recent years, his experience and mentality should rub off on some of the younger members of our squad, should he join the club this summer.
