First look at Tottenham Hotspur resuming training

Tottenham Hotspur players resumed training at Hotspur Way today. Keeping in line with social distancing, the club undertook small group training.

This comes after the Premier League voted unanimously to return to small group training. The first step towards restarting the Premier League, when safe to do so.

Step one permits squads to train while maintaining social distancing. Contact training is not yet permitted.

Today’s session was attended by five Spurs stars. This included Steven Bergwijn, Japhet Tanganga, Lucas Moura, Davinson Sanchez, and Jan Vertonghen. No goalkeepers were a part of the session.

According to Football.London, Tottenham expect all of the first-team players to return for the small group sessions, with injuries an issue of the past.

COVID-19 testing facilities have been set up at Hotspur Way for players and staff to be tested regularly.
