Tottenham Hotspur offered Morgan Sanson by superagent Pini Zahavi

According to French publication L’Equipe (h/t Football.london), Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the chance to sign Marseille star Morgan Sanson by superagent Pini Zahavi.

The 25-year-old midfielder made a name for himself at Montpellier before moving to the Orange Velodrome in 2017. He has since enhanced his reputation and is a vital cog for Les Olympiens.

Marseille are not immune to the financial fallout of the coronavirus pandemic. They are just one of a number of clubs across Europe who have to sell their stars in order to raise funds.

According to the report, Sanson has been offered to three Premier League clubs, believed to be Arsenal, Everton, and Spurs.

Capable of playing anywhere in midfield, Sanson is a versatile player who is a jack of many trades. He has made 30 appearances for the club this season and has scored five goals and five assists. (h/t Transfermarkt)

The French side expect £30million for the player. This will represent a significant profit on a player they signed for peanuts just three years ago.

The 25-year-old is a handy player who will give Jose Mourinho a number of options. Midfield is an area where Tottenham have at times appeared too one dimensional. It may finally be time now to blood younger players into the mix.

Sanson has only ever played in France. If he does make the move across the channel, it remains to be seen if he can adjust to the change of style. Given the current financial crisis, the price quoted for the player is rather steep for Tottenham to be taking a risk.
