Tottenham star Harry Kane sends message to Marcus Rashford ahead of Friday’s PL match

As reported by the Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane has praised Manchester United striker and England teammate Marcus Rashford ahead of the club’s meeting with the Red Devils this Friday.

Spurs resume their Premier League campaign with a crunch clash against United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday. Given that both the teams are in the hunt for a top four finish, it will be a potential six-pointer.

Ahead of the game, both Spurs and United have received injury boosts. We have got Harry Kane back from a lengthy injury layoff, after he picked up a hamstring problem in January. Similarly, United will be able to call upon Rashford, who was also out since January due to a back injury.

Speaking of the upcoming meeting with his England teammate, Kane said (h/t Daily Star):

“Marcus is a great player – we’ve obviously spent a lot of time together with England and you can see the quality he has with the ball, his finishing and his all-round game really so yes, he’s a top player and I’m looking forward to the match.”

The England captain went on to add that he might not be able to have a chat with Rashford after the match though, given the social distancing rules and measures in place because of the pandemic. (h/t Daily Star)

Speaking about his recovery from injury, Kane insisted that he felt great having completed a full recovery, which ought to come as great news for us ahead of the resumption of the season. (h/t Daily Star)

“From my side, from a hamstring point of view, I’m good. It’s been great to be able to give it a little more rest. I’ve not played a competitive game for nearly six months now – it’s been a long, long time. From an injury point of view, I’m back to normal, fully fit.”
