Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Moussa Sissoko to start against Manchester United

In his pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Manchester United, Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Moussa Sissoko will start on Friday. (h/t TottenhamHotspur.com)

Kane and Sissoko haven’t played in over six months, having been out injured since the turn of the year. Son, on the other hand, had fractured his arm in a game against Aston Villa on February. The trio’s absence coincided with the club’s run of poor form.

Jose Mourinho announced three players who will start on Friday

The stoppage of the season due to the outbreak has allowed them to recover completely and are fully fit ahead of the resumption of the campaign on Friday. And, Mourinho has confirmed that all three will be starting the game against United. (h/t TottenhamHotspur.com)

“To try to help you, I can say, because maybe it’s interesting, the three players who had surgery – Sissoko, Son and Kane – yes, they are going to start.”

Having Kane and Son, who are the club’s top two goalscorers this term, back in the attacking third is a huge boost for the club. And with Sissoko’s energy and physicality in the middle, we will be able to pose a strong challenge to Man United.

Mourinho also had a bit of a bad news though, as he confirmed that Giovani Lo Celso is a fitness concern ahead of the game and might not play the entire ninety minutes. (h/t TottenhamHotspur.com)

“Yes, I can confirm that. I consider Gio one of the ‘victims’ of the rules and the protocols. He was injured at the end of the period before the coronavirus situation.”
