Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho keen on Sergej Milinkovic-Savic
According to a report from Footmercato (h/t Express), Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Lazio midfield superstar Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, with manager Jose Mourinho intent on landing the Serbian.
The 25-year-old has been with Lazio for close to five years now. He has grown into one of the top central midfielders in Europe. In 197 appearances for the Italian giants, Milinkovic-Savic has scored 37 goals and assisted 26 more.
The Serbian international has been in impressive form this season, bagging 6 goals and 7 assists in 34 matches, leading Lazio’s surprise Serie A title push. His exploits with the capital club have put him on the radars of several top clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur. (h/t Express)
It is no secret that Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of Milinkovic-Savic. The Portuguese had tried to sign the midfielder during his time at Manchester United. And now, he wants the Serb to join hands with him at our club. (h/t Express)

It goes without saying that signing someone of Milinkovic-Savic would boost the quality of our squad a great deal. His ability to supply goals and assist from midfield coupled with his physical prowess would make him a great fit in Mourinho’s team.
In addition, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the future of Tanguy Ndombele, who has struggled in his debut season. So, it makes great sense for the club to prioritise the 25-year-old’s signing.
