Hugo Lloris plays down bust-up with Son Heung-min against Everton
Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has played down the bust-up between himself and teammate Son Heung-min at half-time during the game against Everton on Monday night.
Right after the half-time whistle, Lloris and Son were spotted shouting at each other on the pitch and were trying to charge towards each other, only to be separated by teammates. The pair seemed to have sorted things out in the dressing room and were spotted hugging in the tunnel before the start of the second period.

Shedding light on the incident post the match, Lloris told Sky Sports:
“What happened between me and Sony is something that is just part of football sometimes. But there is no problem at all and you see at the end of the game that we are more than happy to be part of the team and to get the three points.”
When prodded if it was the lack of effort to chase down an opponent player, which eventually led to a chance for Everton, Lloris said:
“Yeah. I think to concede a chance a few seconds before half-time because we don’t press properly. That’s what was annoying me but it’s part of football. It’s gone.”

It might have been a tad unsavoury, but nevertheless, it is good to see the players showing passion. It is good to see that the pair have worked things out and moved on from the incident.
As for the match, it ended 1-0 in Tottenham’s favour, courtesy of a Michael Keane own goal in the first period. The result sees us move into the eighth place in the Premier League table. Up next is a game against relegation battlers Bournemouth.
