Eric Dier signs new four-year deal with Tottenham

The 26-year-old England international was in the final year of his deal with the club. Negotiations over a new contract had been ongoing for some time now. And finally, the two parties have come to an agreement, with the versatile defender penning a new four-year contract. (h/t TottenhamHotspur.com)
“I feel like that 20-year-old when I first arrived. That’s the feeling I have right now. I feel like I’m at the beginning of a new journey. I’m really happy to continue here and happy to commit to this new journey we’re on now with our new manager.”
After having endured a difficult year or so due to injuries and drop in form, Dier has found a new lease on life since Jose Mourinho took over the reins at the club.
Under the Portuguese, Dier has worked his way back into a regular starter for us, while moving into the centre-back role of late has worked wonders for his form and confidence. Till date Dier has racked up 239 appearances for Tottenham, and has scored 11 goals.
