Todd Cantwell on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar according to Alasdair Gold
In a recent Q&A session with fans, Football.london journalist Alasdair Gold has claimed that Norwich City star Todd Cantwell is on the radars of Tottenham Hotspur.
The 22-year-old Cantwell came through the youth ranks at Norwich. After a loan spell away at Dutch outfit Fortuna Sittard, the Englishman became a first-team regular at Carrow Road. He played a key role in their promotion to the Premier League in 2018/19.

And while the Canaries struggled to make an impact in the top-flight, Cantwell was a bright spot in a gloomy campaign for Daniel Farke’s side. He ended the season with six goals and two assists from 37 league outings, even as Norwich got relegated.
With them going down, a number of star players could be on their way out, with Cantwell likely to be one among them. And, Tottenham are keeping tabs on the versatile attacking midfielder, according to Gold. (h/t Football.london)
“Spurs have certainly closely watched Aarons so will no doubt test the water with Norwich and perhaps look at a few other players, Cantwell is on their radar.”
Capable of playing as a No.10 or on either flanks, Cantwell would add a multitude of options at the manager’s disposal. In his debut PL season, he showed that he is capable of cutting it at this level.

Cantwell still has two years left on his contract with Norwich. So, the Canaries are likely to demand a significant transfer fee for his sale.
He would be a good addition to the Tottenham squad. But it does seem unlikely that Tottenham will make a move this summer, given the number of positions that need to be strengthened and the limited financial budget.
