Tottenham tipped to sign Callum Wilson provided game-time is guaranteed
Speaking with Football Insider (h/t Express), former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Michael Brown has tipped the club to sign Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson this summer, if they can guarantee him regular playing time.
The 28-year-old Wilson has been with Bournemouth since 2014 and has been a key member of the time ever since. Having helped them to promotion to the Premier League in his debut season with the club, he has been a consistent source of goals ever since.

Wilson, though, did not have the best of 2019/20 campaign, as he managed eight goals and three assists in 35 league outings, as Bournemouth got relegated.
With the Cherries looking to cut their costs, the 28-year-old could be sold this summer, with reports claiming that he can be available for as less as £10m. It is also being claimed that Spurs are leading the race to sign the England international. (h/t The Sun)
And now, Brown has backed Tottenham to sign the 28-year-old Wilson, provided the club can assure him of regular playing time. (h/t Express)
“If a striker is going to Spurs they need to ask if they are a wide forward because Harry Kane plays the number nine role. If you see someone who can play out wide in a three or they can play two up top because Callum Wilson will want to play, I can’t imagine him going to sit on the bench.”

It goes without saying that Harry Kane remains the undisputed first-choice striker for Tottenham. So, any centre-forward willing to sign, is likely to have concerns regarding playing time.
However, the chance of playing under Jose Mourinho should be a major drawing factor. In addition, with us competing in four competitions next season, there should be enough opportunities for all the players.
