Tottenham want £35m for Serge Aurier amid AC Milan interest
According to a report from the Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to let Serge Aurier leave this summer amid AC Milan interest, but want £35m for the Ivory Coast international.
The 27-year-old Aurier joined Tottenham from French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017, in a deal worth £23m. Having been behind Kieran Trippier in his first two seasons at the club, the right-back became the first-choice in the 2019/20 term.
Aurier was largely impressive going forward, but has been quite unreliable defensively. The Ivorian finished the season with two goals and eight assists from 42 appearances across all competitions.
AC Milan have made their interest known in the right-back, with club director Paolo Maldini confirming that the club are in negotiations with Spurs for the transfer. It has even been claimed that Aurier has also agreed to move to San Siro this summer.
While it was earlier reported that Tottenham were looking at a transfer fee of £23m for the full-back, the report from the Mirror is now claiming that the club value him at £35m.
This might be a bit of a stumbling block in negotiations as willing to discuss offers or around £12m only. (h/t Daily Mail)

Aurier still has two years left on his contract with Tottenham. However, it seems like the club is prepared to offload in the ongoing window. This would leave us in a precarious position as far as the right-back slot is concerned, given that Kyle Walker-Peters is closing in on a permanent transfer to Southampton.
Japhet Tanganga has been used as a right-back previously by Jose. But should Aurier be sold, it goes without saying that the club will need to bring in an experienced replacement.
