Barcelona warn Tottenham Lucas de Vega not for sale
According to AFP (h/t Football.london), Barcelona have warned Tottenham Hotspur that academy product Lucas de Vega is not up for sale in the current transfer window.
The 20-year-old De Vega has been with the Barcelona’s famed La Masia youth academy since a very young age. A versatile operator, the Brazilian mostly features as a central midfielder, but can also play as a No. 10 or on either flanks as well.
De Vega is yet to make his first-team debut for Barcelona, while he has also not featured for the club’s B team. He does have four appearances for the U19s, in the UEFA Youth League, scoring one goal. (h/t Transfermarkt)
The midfielder spent the last season out on loan with La Liga 2 outfit Cartagena. De Vega made a strong impression, racking up twenty appearances, in which he found the back of the net on one occasion. (h/t Transfermarkt)
De Vega has propped up on the radars of Tottenham Hotspur, with the club even reported to have made an an offer worth around £2m for the youngster. (h/t Mirror)
However, Barcelona have warned Tottenham against making a move for the Brazilian, as he is not for sale this summer.

At 20, De Vega is yet to make his debut for the Barcelona senior team, while he hasn’t even featured for the club’s B team either. So, this does cast a bit of doubt on his potential. But the report claims that the Catalans hold him in very high regard and have no intentions of selling him this summer.
