PSG ready to walk away from Dele Alli negotiations
According to The Telegraph, French champions Paris Saint-Germain are ready to pull out of negotiations for the signing of Tottenham star Dele Alli on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old England international’s future at Tottenham has been a hot topic of speculation over the past couple of weeks. This is due to the fact that Alli was dropped from the matchday squad for Tottenham’s matches against Lokomotiv Plovdiv and Southampton.
PSG had emerged as the strongest suitors for the English midfielder, with Les Parisiens looking to land the Spurs man on a season-long loan deal. The French champions were increasingly confident of getting a deal over the line before the transfer window closed. (h/t The Telegraph)
However, as per the latest update, they are set to withdraw their interest in Alli. This is because that the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League runners-up believe that the financial terms to bring the 24-year-old to the French capital are proving to be too difficult to agree. (h/t The Telegraph)
This comes on the back of Alli’s return into the frame for Tottenham’s UEFA Europa League third round qualifying fixture against FK Shkendija. Manager Jose Mourinho claimed that the Englishman will be involved in the game and insisted that he is not likely to leave this summer. (h/t Sky Sports)
