Tottenham Hotspur in talks for Napoli star Arkadiusz Milik

According to Italian publication Corriere Dello Sport via Sport Witness (h/t Football.london), Tottenham hotspur have held talks with Napoli for Arkadiusz Milik.

Spurs have enjoyed an excellent window that has seen them bring in five players, including former hero Gareth Bale.

Jose Mourinho is still in the market for a striker, with the window set to close on October 5.

Harry Kane remains the only specialist striker in the squad. While the English skipper is a prolific scorer, he cannot be counted upon to start each and every game.

Moreover, an injury will see us having to undergo the same crisis as last season. Keeping all this in mind, bringing in another striker is of paramount importance.

In a boost for Spurs, Roma and Juventus’ interest in Milik has fizzed out, paving the way for us to make a move.

The Polish international is currently training on his own in Naples as the Serie A side look to move him on. The player has already packed his bags and is ready to go when the call comes.

According to the report, the Premier League looks to be his next destination. Milik was not included in the Napoli squad as the Italians got their Serie A season off to a good start with a win against Parma.

The striker has also been linked with a move to Everton. Thankfully, Carlo Ancelotti is not keen. Whether Milik eventually makes the switch to North London remains to be seen.
