Tottenham among a host of PL clubs tracking Orbelin Pineda
According to 90min.com (h/t Brighton & Hove Independent), Tottenham Hotspur are tracking Cruz Azul winger Orbelin Pineda, who is on the radars of a number of other Premier League clubs.
The 24-year-old Pineda started out at Mexican outfit Queretaro, where he made 58 first-team appearances scoring nine goals and registering five assists. In 2016, the winger signed for Deportivo Guadalajara, where he spent three years, bagging 10 goals and 8 assists in 128 games before joining Cruz Azul in 2019.

Since joining the club, Pineda has featured 68 times across all competitions, racking up a return of eight goals and seven assists in the process. The 24-year-old has played 15 times so far in the new season, scoring and assisting one goal apiece.
A full international for Mexico, Pineda made his debut for El Tri in 2016 and has featured 21 times for them so far, grabbing a solitary goal. A winger by trade, the 24-year-old is capable of playing on either flank with equal comfort, while he has also been used as a central attacking midfielder at times.
And as per the aforementioned report, Tottenham are monitoring the 24-year-old Mexican international. Along with the Lilywhites, arch-rivals Arsenal are also keeping tabs on Pineda, as well as West Ham United, Wolves, Everton, Southampton and Newcastle United.

Tottenham are currently well-stocked in the wide areas currently. So, the reported interest in Pineda does come as a bit of a surprise. Especially when someone like Steven Bergwijn has been finding it difficult to get regular game time this season under Jose Mourinho.
So, it does a bit unlikely that the club will make any sort of move for the 24-year-old.
