Tottenham fans react as Darren Bent claims Mikel Arteta is a better manager than Mauricio Pochettino
Speaking on talkSPORT (h/t Metro), former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent made a bizarre claim that current Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is a much better coach than ex-Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The former striker turned pundit cited Poch’s lack of trophies as a reason for his claim insisting that Arteta had won an FA Cup at Arsenal already. (h/t Metro)
“Arteta, for me, Arteta’s a better coach than Pochettino as well. You look at Spurs and what Pochettino did at Spurs and he took them to a level. When I say Pochettino’s greatest achievement at Spurs, people will say ‘He got them to a Champions League final’ but is that enough?”
The ex-Spurs forward also went on to claim that Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers was also a better manager than Pochettino.
Naturally, the fans, as well as some ex-Tottenham stars, did not respond well to the claim and lashed out on Bent on Twitter. And here are some of the reactions from the Tottenham faithful to Bent’s outrageous claim.
