Liverpool eyeing January move for Tottenham-linked Milan Skriniar
As reported by ESPN (h/t Express), Premier League champions Liverpool are considering making a swoop for Inter Milan star Milan Skriniar, who has been linked with Tottenham in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old Skriniar has grown into one of the most reliable centre-backs in Serie A during his time at Inter Milan. His performances have now seemingly caught the eye of Liverpool, who are in the market for a new centre-back following the injury to star man Virgil van Dijk. (h/t Express)

Skriniar was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur all summer long. It is no secret that manager Jose Mourinho was intent on bolstering the Spurs’ backline and the Slovakian international had emerged as the club’s top target. (h/t Express)
However, Inter Milan’s asking price of £54m proved to be a barrier for us, with the club deeming that valuation too high. And as a result, the club instead ended up signing Wales international defender Joe Rodon from EFL Championship side Swansea City in a deal worth £12m. (h/t Express)
However, the report adds that Tottenham still remain interested in Skriniar. But a move in the summer transfer window is more likely than in the January window. This could allow Liverpool to swoop in and sign the Slovakian international in the winter. (h/t Express)

While we did strengthen the defence this summer, adding someone of Skriniar’s quality should be a no-brainer. More so considering Davinson Sanchez’s form of late. However, a move in January might be an unlikely prospect, especially if Inter stay adamant on their asking price.
