Tottenham in advanced talks over Son Heung-min contract
According to reputed Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Tottenham Hotspur are in advanced talks with the agent of star attacker Son Heung-min over a new contract.
The 28-year-old has been at the club since 2015, having arrived from Bayer Leverkusen and has grown into one of the best forwards in the Premier League. Son has taken his game up a notch in the current season, with his partnership along with Harry Kane terrorising defences so far in 2020/21.

So far, the South Korean international has racked up 8 goals in 8 Premier League outings, while registering two assists as well. In addition, he has also scored two goals and assisted three more in the UEFA Europa League (qualifiers included). (h/t Transfermarkt)
The Athletic last month claimed that Tottenham were trying to tie Son down with a new and improved contract. This was confirmed by manager Jose Mourinho soon after.
Reports earlier this month claimed that Tottenham were looking to offer a contract to the 28-year-old that would see him get on par with Kane as the highest-earner at the club, with a wage of around £200,000-a-week before bonuses. (h/t Express)
And Schira has now revealed that the club are at an advanced stage in negotiations with agent Frank Trimboli. The new deal will tie Son down to the club until the summer of 2025.

In 242 appearances for Tottenham to date, Son has scored 95 goals and created 42 more. The way he has started the new season, he should hit the 100-mark in no time after the international break. And he is richly deserving of the new, bumper deal that the club are set to offer him.
