Gareth Bale ruled out of Tottenham Hotspur’s PL clash against Fulham
As reported by the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Gareth Bale will miss the midweek fixture against Fulham with an injury.
The 31-year-old Wales international came off at half-time in our Carabao Cup clash against Stoke City with a calf problem. He was not part of the squad for the weekend draw against Wolves. And Mourinho has now revealed that Bale will be unavailable against Fulham and could be sidelined for a few weeks.
“”I wouldn’t say [Bale’s injury] serious but I’d say a few weeks. I don’t expect him to be fit.”
This is the latest in a line of injury setbacks for the Welsh wing wizard. Since returning to the club from Real Madrid on loan in the summer, Bale has been blighted by fitness problems. Now, he is set for another spell on the sidelines, along with Giovani Lo Celso, who has missed our last two matches.
Providing a further update on the condition of the squad, Mourinho also went on to reveal that Tottenham could be without Carlos Vinicius and Lucas Moura against Fulham.
“I have my doubts that Lucas and Vinicius can be fit for Fulham.”

Having now gone four games without a win in the Premier League, it is important that we return to winning ways at the earliest. Fulham, though, are likely to pose a tough challenge, given their new-found defensive resilience.
None of the player missing, barring Lo Celso, would have been starters. However, it would have helped to call upon them should things don’t go well in the early stages. Hopefully, none of the injuries are major and they will be in action soon enough.
