Tottenham line up Dean Henderson as Hugo Lloris replacement
Lloris has been with Tottenham since 2012 and has been one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League during his time at the club. Despite being 34 years old, the Frenchman continues to be a pivotal part of the first-team setup at the North London outfit.
However, there is some fear amongst the Tottenham chiefs that Lloris might be on the move in the near future. This stems from the fact that former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is set to take over the reins at Paris Saint-Germain. And it is claimed that the Argentine wants to raid the Lilywhites for Dele Alli as well as Lloris. (h/t The Sun)
With the Frenchman’s contract expiring in eighteen months, there remain doubts over his long-term future at the club. And should Lloris end up deciding to return to his homeland France to link up with Pochettino, Tottenham are drawing up a list of candidates who could replace him at the club.
On the list is Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson. The Englishman impressed heavily while on loan at Sheffield United last term, but hasn’t played a lot with the Red Devils this term. So, a lure of regular first-team opportunities could tempt him into considering a switch.
Another player that Tottenham are said to be considering is West Brom stopper Sam Johnstone. An ex-Manchester United star, he has impressed with the Baggies, putting in some impressive displays this term, despite their low position in the Premier League.

There have been talks of a new contract for Lloris. But, with PSG likely to offer a chance to end his career in his homeland and the potential of reuniting with Poch might be a tad too alluring for the Frenchman.
