Jose Mourinho not interested in signing Ivan Perisic at Tottenham
Mourinho has been linked with a move for Perisic since his Manchester United days. Following his arrival at Tottenham, those links have followed too. (h/t Football.london)
Perisic spent the last season on loan at Bayern Munich, winning the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League. The Croatian international returned to parent club Inter Milan in the summer but has failed to establish himself as a regular under Antonio Conte.
Till date, Perisic has started just nine of Inter’s 17 Serie A games and featured from the kick off in the Champions League in just two matches. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Tottenham had been linked with a move for Perisic in the summer. And with his situation not improving in Italy, rumours have resurfaced again, claiming that Mourinho wants to bring the Croatian to London in the ongoing mid-season transfer window.
Those speculations, however, have been dashed by the aforementioned report, which insists that Mourinho has no wish to bring the 31-year-old to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It is also said that the club agrees with the Portuguese tactician’s assessment.

As things stand, Tottenham already have a host of options in the wide areas. And while the likes of Gareth Bale and Steven Bergwijn haven’t been in the best of form, bringing in someone like Perisic, who hasn’t played regularly enough wouldn’t really offer a solution.
