Real Madrid tipped to re-sign Tottenham star Sergio Reguilon
Tottenham signed Reguilon from Real Madrid in the summer for a fee of around £27.5m. Since joining the club, the Spanish international has been a huge hit. Till date, the 24-year-old has turned out 20 times for us, bagging five assists in the process.
Reguilon has made a brilliant impression in his short time at Tottenham. The Spanish international has been a rock-solid defender while he has been no short of attacking intent as well. The 24-year-old put in one of his best performances in the win against Sheffield United, impressing with his marauding runs from the left wing-back slot.
And, Cascarino is of the opinion that Real Madrid will attempt to take him back to the club after seeing the development he has made.
“Tottenham paid £27.5million for Sergio Reguilón but Real Madrid have a £41million buyback clause available at the end of this season and next, and I cannot see why they wouldn’t exercise it.
“He has shown he can play in a back four, and against Sheffield United, he shone playing in a five. He has loads of energy, gets up and down the wing and is a fine footballer and defender.”
