The 29-year-old was however pictured in training as the team were put through their paces ahead of the trip to Adams Park. This would suggest that the defender’s injury was not as bad as feared. He was omitted from the Spurs side that took on Sheffield United last Sunday.
Brought in last summer, the Irishman has been a decent signing. Hopefully, he can kick on and amp up his performances until the end of the season. Whether or not he features against Wycombe remains to be seen.
Spurs have already made it to one cup final in the Carabao Cup. They will now seek to do the same after being handed a favourable tie against The Chairboys. There, however, appears to be no sense of complacency as the Tottenham players were put through their drills in training.
Mourinho kept a watchful eye on his stars. As well as completing their regular pre-match regimen at the Enfield Training Centre, the session also saw the group go head-to-head in a game of football tennis.
