Jose Mourinho delivers team news ahead of Tottenham vs West Brom

Speaking to the club’s official website, Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has provided an update on the team news ahead of their game against West Brom.

Tottenham play the relegation-battling Baggies at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday noon. Having lost three games in a row against Liverpool, Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea in the Premier League, it is imperative that Mourinho & co. get back to winning ways this weekend.

Mourinho spoke on the importance of the game after the recent poor run and insisted that it was critical that the team broke the cycle of defeats.

“It’s a big game for us, because we need to leave the position where we are, which is not a dramatic position like theirs, but is a very bad position for us, we have to leave it, we need to win, we need to break the dynamic of three defeats.”

However, they will have to do so without several key members of the first-team. Tottenham will once again be without the services of star striker Harry Kane, along with Sergio Reguilon, Giovani Lo Celso as well as Dele Alli.

Mourinho insisted that none of the players are unlikely to be available for the game against West Brom. But, he also expressed hope that Kane will be the first player back at his disposal.

“I think from all the guys injured, Reguilon, Dele Alli, Lo Celso, Harry Kane… I think the first one to be back will be Harry.”

Without Kane, the team has not looked the same of late. However, with the England captain set to miss out again, it is important that the rest of the players step up and get us over the line on Sunday noon.
