Jose Mourinho furious with Tottenham star Gareth Bale following his ill-advised Instagram post
The 31-year-old has not had the best of times since returning to North Lonon on loan last summer. He was a surprise exclusion from the Spurs squad that travelled to Merseyside earlier this week.
Mourinho had confirmed that while there was nothing outwardly regarding Bale’s fitness, the player himself was not happy in training. Bale, however, posted a photo of himself in training on Instagram with the message ‘Good session today’. This contradiction has not sat well with the Spurs boss.

Mourinho thinks that the message portrays him in bad light regarding Bale’s exclusion from the squad. Interestingly, Bale did not feel well on Monday and did not train again that day. But he was back in action the following day as Spurs finalized their plans for Everton. (h/t Sky Sports)
It is not the first time that Bale has given Mourinho a reason to be irritated. The Spurs boss was triggered when previously asked about the winger’s absence from the playing XI against Chelsea. (h/t Daily Mail)
The Welshman returned to Spurs last summer to much fanfare. However, he has failed to reach the levels expected of him. Bale has so far made 15 appearances in his second coming, scoring four goals. (h/t Transfermarkt)

A tour de force in his prime, a generation of Spurs fans grew up watching the Welshman light up White Hart Lane. Bale, however, does not appear to be the same player and has hardly made much of a splash this season. Needless to say, off-field speculations such as this will not make things any easier for him.
