Tottenham interested in Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson
The 23-year-old came through the youth ranks at Manchester United but spent the last three seasons away on loan at Shrewsbury Town and Sheffield United (two seasons).
The Englishman’s spell with the Blades was so impressive last season that the Red Devils decided to keep hold of him this term instead of sending him out on another temporary spell. However, he has been the second-choice custodian at Old Trafford behind David de Gea.
And even though the Spaniard has made some errors, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stuck by him, using Henderson in the cup competitions exclusively. And the goalkeeper is said to have grown frustrated at this predicament and is now considering leaving the club should things fail to improve.
This has put a host of Premier League clubs on high-alert including Tottenham. Spurs have Hugo Lloris as the first choice, but the skipper has, at times, shown signs of age catching up with him in recent weeks.
Furthermore, with his contract set to run out at the end of the next season and Joe Hart not ideal for a first-choice role, signing someone like Henderson could prove to be a brilliant move.
