Tottenham getting closer to sacking Jose Mourinho as Rodgers talks emerge
According to Daily Record (h/t Express), Jose Mourinho is edging closer to the sack at Tottenham with Daniel Levy set to consider his options. It has mainly been due to a leak of Brendan Rodgers’ opinions on taking over the job.
Pressure has been firmly on the Portuguese manager despite the recent wins over Wolfsberger. The real crisis seems to be at home, with the club struggling in the Premier League in recent games.
They have only won four games in close to two months, with two of those wins coming against Wolfsberger in the Europa League. However, Mourinho has brushed off any talk of a crisis but results in the league say otherwise.
Mourinho’s future has come under the scanner again, with talks of Brendan Rodgers taking over the job doing the rounds. Mourinho is safe from the sack for now given the cost the club would have to incur.
