Julian Nagelsmann would be open to Tottenham move, claims Christian Falk

According to reputed journalist Christian Falk on Twitter, RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann would be open to a move to Tottenham Hotspur should the managerial job become available.

The German tactician is regarded as one of the brightest young minds in the game currently. Having made his name with TSG Hoffenheim, Nagelsmann has been in charge of RB Leipzig since 2019. In his very first season at the club, he led them to a second-place finish in Bundesliga and the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Leipzig are enjoying another solid campaign and it seems like his exploits in Germany have caught the eyes of the Tottenham hierarchy. Indeed, he is being billed as Spurs’ top target should the club decide to pull the trigger on Jose Mourinho after a disappointing run of results in the Premier League. (h/t Daily Star)

And now, Falk has revealed on Twitter that, Nagelsmann would welcome a move to Tottenham should the job become available.

Following a strong start to the season, things looked all bright and sunny for Tottenham with Mourinho leading the team to a potential Premier League title tilt. However, all that optimism has daded of late, with the club winning just one of the last six league games.

This has seen us drop down to ninth place in the table, nine points off of West Ham United in the fourth place. This has led to increased pressure on Jose Mourinho. And with Nagelsmann reportedly interested in a move, the Portuguese tactician could be set for more intense scrutiny.

Mourinho is likely to be given time until the end of the season though, given as he has led the team to the Carabao Cup final while the team is still alive and going strong in the Europa League as well.
