Manchester United concerned about Tottenham interest in Dean Henderson
According to The Athletic (h/t Mirror), Manchester United are concerned with the interest Tottenham have maintained in Dean Henderson. The Red Devils are fearing that the young shot-stopper will ask for a move away soon after not getting many first-team opportunities.
Henderson returned to United this season after two seasons on loan at Sheffield United. Surprisingly, he chose to stay back at the club despite the presence of David De Gea and wanted to fight for the No.1 spot.
However, he has been the second choice as expected and has played very few games this season. That has led to speculation around his future over the next summer. Spurs have shown interest in the keeper in recent weeks.
The youngster has been given just 12 starts so far and a majority of those have come in cup competitions. It has been a good two months since he played in the league, where David De Gea has been trusted to don the gloves.
