Tottenham receive transfer boost for Lucas Vazquez
According to ABC (h/t Football.london), Tottenham linked Lucas Vazquez could be set to leave Real Madrid. Tottenham have been linked to the winger previously and could again enter the fray for him.
It has been said that Real Madrid cannot afford to hand Vazquez a new deal due to the scant availability of cash. That could leave Vazquez looking at a free transfer at the end of the season.
Vazquez is expecting a long-term deal of £160,000 per week, something which the Blancos are unwilling to hand him due to the financial impact of the pandemic. Instead, they want him to take a pay cut on his current salary, which could end up pushing Vazquez towards the exit doors.
Tottenham could look to swoop in for the utility man at the end of the season. He has been in good form this season and that could convince Spurs to shell out those wages on him.

There’s not a lot of risks involved apart from the wages. Vazquez can slot in at right-back if required apart from his natural position. In case contract talks go south, Spurs should wait until the end of this season and snap him up on a free.
