Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur know massive wage demands of Sergio Aguero after recent links

Earlier this month, The Telegraph (h/t The Sun) mentioned that Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur were two realistic destinations for Sergio Aguero, and now, a report by Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Express) has revealed his wage demands ahead of a summer move.

The Manchester City striker is all set to leave the Etihad as a free agent in the summer. This comes after his 10-year service in Manchester where he has scored 257 goals in all competitions.

London is cited as a possible destination for him. And it is said that the former Atletico Madrid hitman wants a £10-million-a-year salary package ahead of a move in the summer transfer window.

Sergio Aguero was linked with a shock transfer to Tottenham Hotspur from Manchester City earlier this month.

The 32-year-old is one of the deadliest strikers in Europe but has seen injury and fitness hamper his appearances in Pep Guardiola’s side this season. But his goal-scoring pedigree cannot be doubted.

A deal worth pursuing

And his manager, Guardiola, has gone on to wish him good luck and offer him support, even if he joins a fellow Premier League side.

“We’ll be delighted with the decision he takes, the best for him and his family and his career. My preference is his preference. His preference is my preference. The best for him is the best for us.”

Harry Kane has shouldered much of the goal-scoring burden at Tottenham Hotspur.

Aguero is a tried and tested Premier League goal-scorer and a striker that Tottenham could use, especially considering the air of uncertainty surrounding Harry Kane and Carlos Vinicius’ futures.

And even if there are no outgoings in the summer, Spurs could use someone like the Argentine. It would add goals to the side and take a lot of burden off Kane and Son Heung-min’s shoulders.
