Former Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho takes up new role as pundit

According to Dailly Mail, Jose Mourinho has taken up the role of a pundit after being sacked by Tottenham. The Portuguese has taken up the role with radio station TalkSPORT for the European Championships this summer.

Tottenham relieved Jose Mourinho of his managerial duties last week following the 2-2 draw against Everton on Friday night. The result had left Tottenham in seventh place, staring at the possibility of missing out on a top-four finish. Amid this, sections of fans started to question the Portuguese’s tactics at the club.

While Daniel Levy has appointed ex-midfielder Ryan Mason on an interim basis until the end of the season, the search for a new manager has started. Mourinho was given a plump severance package in the region of £15million.

However, the Special One has returned to work in less than two weeks after the sack, taking up the role of a pundit with TalkSPORT and also as an expert columnist for The Sun. Alan Brazil let fans know about the same as Mourinho introduced himself.

‘Hello to everyone at talkSPORT, this is Jose Mourinho. Delighted to say I will be joining the talkSPORT team for the Euros this summer. I will be joining the likes of Laura Woods, Ally McCoist and Alan Brazil to give my views on all of the action. Good luck to England, good luck to Scotland and of course good luck to Portugal.’

While it became unbearable to watch Mourinho as manager, football does feel a little bit bland without the Portuguese. Nonetheless, it will now be very interesting to see how he does in this role for the European Championships.
