Tottenham tipped to move for Massimiliano Allegri as manager hunt continues
Speaking to Juve24 (h/t Daily Star), Italian commentator and reporter, Francesco Repice has tipped Tottenham Hotspur to make a move for former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri to replace Jose Mourinho.
Tottenham got rid of Jose Mourinho last month after a run of poor performances and results leading to the club falling out of contention in the top four race and crashing out of the Europa League. Former midfielder Ryan Mason has been handed over the reins of the first-team till the end of the current season.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is on the lookout for a new manager with a number of names, including Allegri being linked with a move. Now, Repice has insisted that the Italian tactician would be an excellent choice for the club.
“Any sensible club would bet on him. Watch out for Tottenham, both for him and for Sarri, but a big club that wants to revive the team has only one name that can be used: Massimiliano Allegri.”
Allegri has been without a job since leaving Juventus in 2019. A six-time Serie A title winner, the Italian tactician is one of the best managers out there and could take us to the next level if Tottenham are able to convince him to make the move.

Tottenham have had to face a couple of setbacks in their pursuit of a new manager already. Julian Nagelsmann, who was a top target, has agreed to take over at Bayern Munich while Erik ten Hag signed anew contract at AFC Ajax. (h/t Daily Star)
Hopefully, the club is able to make some headway in their chase of Allegri.
