Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti wants to sign on-loan Tottenham ace Gareth Bale

According to El Chiringuito’s Eduardo Inda (h/t Express), Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has requested the signing of Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, who is currently on loan at Tottenham Hotspur.

Bale, 31, came back to Tottenham after seven years away, joining on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid. With his temporary arrangement set to expire in a few weeks’ time he will be back at Spain, where he is unwanted.

So, there is a very good chance that he will be on the move again. And, Inda, who has known to be accurate with updates regarding Real Madrid, has now claimed that Carlo Ancelotti wants to reunite with Bale at Everton. The Italian tactician worked with the winger at Real Madrid and tasted a lot of success. “Ancelotti has asked for Bale, a player he always loved when they played together at Real Madrid. He wants to take him to Everton.”

However, the report adds that Everton do not want pay a single penny in transfer fee and would only be willing to sign Bale on a free transfer, even though his contract expires in 2023.

It will be interesting to see whether this affects Tottenham’s plans for Bale in the summer. It had been reported that Spurs have a first refusal on any potential loan deal for Bale next summer and chairman Daniel Levy would offer the new manager, whoever it may be, a chance to re-sign him for the next season.
