Transfer News: Manchester United to make £90m bid for Tottenham ace Harry Kane

According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane could be subject of a massive £90m offer from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The 27-year-old England international has been on the radars of a host of top clubs including Manchester United for quite some time now. And, it has even been claimed that Kane, too, is considering his future at the club, as he eyes trophies in his career. (h/t The Sun)

And, Manchester United could be set to launch a huge offer for the England captain in the summer as their owners, The Glazers, look to appease the fans after recent incidents.

Following the club’s attempt to join the European Super League, the Red Devils’ supporters have protested massively against the owners, calling for a change of ownership at the top. The protests even led to the cancellation of Manchester United’s weekend clash against Liverpool.

Feeling the heat from the incident, The Glazers are now hoping to appease the fans by securing a major transfer in the summer and are now willing to back a £90m bid for Kane. (h/t The Sun)

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has no intentions of offloading Kane this summer, especially to a direct Premier League rival. However, with the club needing a squad overhaul, funds will be needed for investing in transfers. And should Kane, who is said to be open to joining United, himself ask for a move, Levy’s stance could be changed. (h/t The Sun)

An intriguing and crucial summer awaits Tottenham. Missing out on Champions League for another season could deliver a major blow to our hopes of retaining Kane beyond this season. However, given how Levy operates a £90m bid is unlikely to cut it.
