Tottenham working on double deal for Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici

According to Italian reporter Gianluigi Longari (h/t Express), Tottenham Hotspur are working on a double deal to appoint Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici as the club’s next manager and sporting director, respectively.

Tottenham have been on the lookout for a new manager ever since Jose Mourinho was let go of by chairman Daniel Levy in April. And, Conte has emerged as one of the strongest candidates to take over the reins at the club.

Antonio Conte is currently the Inter Milan manager

The Italian tactician is unattached after he left Serie A giants Inter Milan, only a matter of days after he had led them to their first Scudetto in eleven years. A proven manager in Italy and England, having won the Premier League and the FA Cup with Chelsea, the 51-year-old is said to be among Tottenham Hotspur’s top managerial candidates to fill the vacancy left by Mourinho’s sacking.

Not only that, but Tottenham are also keeping their eyes closely on the Italian market for a new sporting director. As per the report, the north London giants are keen on bringing in Fabio Paratici as the next director. The Italian left his job at Juventus, bringing an end to a fruitful 11-year partnership with the Bianconeri.

Having worked with Conte in the past at Juve, Paratici shares a good relationship with the manager and Tottenham are now hoping to recreate the same at the club ahead of the next season. (h/t Express)

However, things not might exactly be straightforward for Spurs, especially in their bid to land Conte as the former Chelsea boss is also courting serious interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid. Tottenham are also in talks with Mauricio Pochettino, who is also a target for Real Madrid. (h/t Express)
