Transfer News: Tottenham open talks for Dusan Vlahovic

According to transfer news from Football.london, Tottenham are lining up Dusan Vlahovic as their first signing. Tottenham have opened talks with Fiorentina over the transfer of the 21-year-old striker.

Tottenham finally have a permanent manager 72 days after sacking Jose Mourinho. It was not an easy process as Spurs had to go through several rejections and failed appointments. Nonetheless, Nuno Espirito Santo is finally at the helm.

With the managerial situation now sorted, the duo of Nuno and director Fabio Paratici will be looking towards the transfer window. Spurs are yet to make their first signing understandably. However, that could change soo as Paratici is now working on bringing in Dusan Vlahovic of Fiorentina.

The 21-year-old has had a breakthrough season in Serie A, piling in 21 goals in 37 games. He was the fourth-highest scorer over the season, only being topped by Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Luis Muriel. The Serbian forward is valued at £36m by the Italian side.

With Kane’s future still up in the air, it makes sense to keep contingency plans in place. Vlahovic is by no means a finished product but he has shown that he can step up at such a young age. It does seem like a huge punt to take but it might well be worth the outlay.
