Transfer News: Tottenham ready to move for Franck Kessie

According to transfer news from Calciomercato (h/t Football.london), Tottenham are already making plans to sign Franck Kessie. The AC Milan midfielder will see his contract end this season meaning that Spurs can approach him as early as January next year.

The club enjoyed one of its best windows this season with several players such as Cristian Romero, Bryan Gil and Emerson Royal arriving. All of the signings are relatively young and look like they have been made keeping the future in mind. The transfer window might have just closed but Spurs and Fabio Paratici are already making plans for future transfers.

It seems Franck Kessie of AC Milan is on the radar for Spurs. The Ivorian is in the final year of his contract at the club and within four months, he will be able to speak to clubs regarding a free transfer. Spurs are ready to pounce on the same and are planning to offer him a wage packet of €8million.

Going after Kessie is understandable. The midfielder is coming off a career-best season with AC Milan. He appeared in 37 league games and produced a tally of 13 goals and 6 assists from midfield. A dominating presence in the centre of the park, he rallied Milan close to clinching the Scudetto.

At just 24, Kessie is yet to reach the peak of his powers and Spurs would be getting a powerhouse of a midfielder if they manage to convince him on board. He would represent a significant coup if a free transfer can be agreed upon in January.
