Tottenham Hotspur stars win big on international duty

It was one of those impressive nights for a host of Tottenham stars as they picked up important and big wins on international duty (h/t official site). The conclusion of the games on Tuesday means that just one more match day is left tonight and following that, the players can return to the club.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was in action as usual for Denmark, marshalling their midfield and making his 50th appearance. The Danes ran out 5-0 winners over Israel to effectively cement their place at the top for Group F. France managed to cure their blues and get a much-needed win over Finland. Hugo Lloris retained his place in the goal to keep a clean sheet.

Steven Begwijn was handed a start for the Netherlands as they ran riot over Turkey with a 6-1 win. While he did not get on the scoresheet, he did impress for the hour he played. Our new boy, Pape Matar Sarr also picked up the win while starring for Senegal.

Matt Doherty and Troy Parrott were involved with Ireland as they drew against Serbia. Elsewhere, a host of youth internationals were also in action. Bryan Gil managed to captain Spain U-21’s to a win while Oliver Skipp played through most of the game with England (h/t official site).
