Tanguy Ndombele could feature vs Crystal Palace, Harry Kane new contract
During a Q&A with Alasdair Gold, Football.london’s Tottenham correspondent answered some questions regarding Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Kane. Ndombele could be in line to make a return against Crystal Palace on the weekend. Kane could be offered a new contract after committing his future to the club.
After a rather damaging international break, Spurs will resume Premier League action when they take on Crystal Palace. A host of players are ruled out or injured for the away game and that could see some of the sidelined players return to the fold, probably for the first time under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Among the players who can return is Tanguy Ndombele. The Frenchman has had issues with the club and is yet to appear this season. However, the injuries to Oliver Skipp and quarantine for Giovani Lo Celso could result in the first appearance for Ndombele. Here’s what Gold had to say on being asked about Ndombele’s involvement.
“I’d surprised if he’s not, particularly with Lo Celso missing and Skipp potentially missing out. He’ll have had almost two weeks to get his mind back on the club and off a move away. He will know that he needs to play football in the months ahead and he needs to impress Nuno Espirito Santo.
“I’ve said it before but I think he’s got a great chance to flourish under the new head coach but ultimately it’s down to Tanguy. If he’s not in the squad on Saturday then it won’t be about talent, which he has by the bucket-load, just focus and fitness.”

Spurs managed to stave off Manchester City in their pursuit of Kane and they will count that as a huge win. In the aftermath, Kane went on to commit his future to the club. However, a new contract would only solidify that status. Here’s was Gold replied on being asked if Kane would be offered a new deal.
“I’d be stunned if both sides don’t look at a new contract for Kane soon. In the aftermath of his statement about staying this season, the word I had back from those around him was that a new contract was a question for the future rather than in that moment.”
Spurs will be hoping they can pick up from where they left off, i.e., winning games. This break was surely a disruption but there can be no excuses. The club have to capitalise on this good start and another three points should be the target against Palace.
