Tanguy Ndombele to fight for his place at Tottenham Hotspur
According to Evening Standard, Tanguy Ndombele has taken the decision to fight for his place at Tottenham Hotspur and hopes to play for the club within the next week. After failing to leave the club, he is now ready to work hard and push his way back into the plans for Nuno Espirito Santo after holding talks.
There are unsolvable problems and then there’s Tanguy Ndombele. Quite how he manages to get out of favour with his managers is beyond comprehension. His talent has never been in doubt but he has failed to build a good rapport with any of his managers since moving to London in 2019. First Jose Mourinho (h/t The Sun) and now Nuno Espirito Santo.
He has fallen out with both and with the latter before even playing a single game this season. That pushed him to consider an exit from the club over the summer. However, it was not possible and he is now at the club going through the training. In a rather significant bit of development, Ndombele has decided to remain at the club and fight for his place in the side.
He is said to have spoken to Nuno and Fabio Paratici after the window closed and accepted the fact that he would have to work hard and break into the side. Although he might be a doubt for the Crystal Palace game, he could be handed an appearance against Rennes in the Conference League.

It will be interesting to see if Ndombele is indeed handed a game. Nuno is pressed for options in midfield as Giovani Lo Celso is in quarantine and Oliver Skipp is injured (h/t Evening Standard). That could force him to include Ndombele in the side in some capacity or the other.
