Juventus open to letting Dejan Kulusevski leave in January amidst Tottenham Hotspur interest

According to Italian outlet Tuttosport via Tuttomercato (h/t football.london), Tottenham Hotspur are interested in making a move for Dejan Kulusevski, with Juventus open to letting him go in January.

The North London outfit have not fared well this season as they have suffered three defeats in seven games while their victories have also been with a narrow margin.

The investment in the summer was substantial as Spurs got in the likes of Bryan Gil, Cristian Romero, Pierluigi Gollini, Emerson Royal, and Pape Matar Sarr, with the latter being loaned out to Nice again.

However, some more additions may be needed if Nuno Espirito Santo is to make his first year at Tottenham a successful one. New director of football Fabio Paratici is eyeing a move from his former club Juventus with Dejan Kulusevski being continuously monitored.

Paratici is said to be a huge fan of the player and is interested in bringing the Swede to London. In fact, Spurs have now also received a boost as the Turin outfit are open to letting the 21-year-old leave the club in January itself.

While Kulusevski looked like a promising youngster all through last year under Andrea Pirlo, he has suffered for game-time under the stewardship of Massimiliano Allegri as he has managed only two starts.

Nuno currently possesses the likes of Steven Bergwijn, Lucas Moura, Bryan Gil, and Son Heung-min in the wide areas, and the addition of a little more quality in January could be just the boost the North London club need.

However, the winger’s contract lasts until 2025 with the Italian club, and there is no saying what kind of a transfer fee he will command. Thus, while both clubs are interested in orchestrating a move, it remains to be seen whether Spurs would be open to paying the fee Juventus ask for.
