Tottenham Hotspur eye Fulham prospect Fabio Carvalho amidst interest from Premier League clubs

According to TEAMtalk (h/t Yorkshire Post), Tottenham Hotspur are interested in securing the services of the Fulham youngster Fabio Carvalho amidst interest from several other Premier League clubs.

The 19-year-old is one of the brightest prospects in the Championship and has attracted interest from several top-flight sides. He has scored three goals while providing an assist from seven matches in the second division for the Cottagers so far.

Tottenham are said to be leading the race to sign the Fulham starlet alongside Liverpool and Southampton. West Ham United and Leeds United are the two other clubs who are keeping tabs on the player.

The Englishman has a contract with his current club till the end of the 2021-22 season and will become a free agent in the summer. He is also said to have rejected a “huge” contract offer recently, which could mean the end of his time with the Cottagers.

Last week, it was mentioned that Spanish giants Real Madrid are also interested in the attacking midfielder. Marco Silva’s side could look towards the January transfer window to get a fee for the talented ace or risk losing him on a free next summer.

As the likes of Dilan Markanday, a Spurs youth prospect, plays in a similar position to Carvalho, it could be a hindrance to him in his development. Daniel Levy would need some convincing to do to influence the midfield star to join our club.
