Nottingham Forest are interested in Tottenham Hotspur youngster Jamie Bowden
According to the 72 (h/t Peterborough Telegraph), Nottingham Forest could make a move for 20-year-old Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie Bowden.
The youngster who is currently on loan to Oldham Athletic is said to be on the radar of Forest. The midfielder has made 16 appearances for the Latics across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
He has fit well into the system ay Oldham and become an integral part of their midfield. The youngster has previously played 37 games for the Spurs U-23 side in all competitions. He scored five goals and provided four assists during that time.
Nottingham Forest are currently in the 13th position in the EFL Championship table. They look set for yet another remarkably average season without making a noise at either end of the table.
They could use a young dynamic midfielder like Bowden to help give them a bit of solidity in the middle of the park. The loan move could also help the Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate gain more experience on the senior level.
Loan moves have been an effective way of giving young exciting players a chance to hone their skills and techniques in a first-team environment. Oliver Skipp is one of the latest examples from Spurs who seems to have immensely benefitted from his loan move to Norwich City last season.

Skipp has now started to cement his place in the starting 11 of the senior squad with the Lilywhites. Oldham Athletic have themselves struggled to put points on the board in EFL League Two this campaign.
The proposition of a move to the Nottingham club could give the 20-year-old the experience of playing in the second tier of English professional football which could be a good step up for a youngster like him as compared to League two.
