Antonio Conte: First month at Tottenham Hotspur was filled with great feelings
Antonio Conte has had a solid start in his first month as the manager of Tottenham Hotspur. He has so far helped the team to three wins, one draw and one loss across all competitions in his first five games in charge.
Spurs sit comfortably in the Premier League in sixth place, having earned 22 points from 13 matches. They also have a game in hand, which, if they win, would see them jump up to the fourth spot. However, they have to do better in the UEFA Europa Conference League as qualification for the knockout rounds is hanging on a balance.
Speaking to Spurs TV (h/t Tottenham Hotspur official website), Conte mentioned that he enjoyed the support from the supporters while praising what he inherited at the N17. The feeling is mutual among the fans who expect the Italian to be the man to bring them success.
“My first month was a month, for sure, with great feelings. I want to thank our fans for the welcome they have given me. I hope and I want to repay them with important work for this Club.”
Conte believes the players have helped create a positive atmosphere at the club. There is still much work to be done at Tottenham. Conte’s first month has been promising and is hopefully a trailer of what is to come.
“With the players, we created a good atmosphere. I have found a good environment, players showing me great commitment, great desire to try to improve. I wanted this situation… to find a Club to work in the way I like.”
A Positive start
Even though we had some hiccups along the way, we have improved considerably under the Italian. Our second-half performance against Leeds United and how we dispatched off Brentford were some of our best displays this term. And the fact is that we have more room for improvement.

It is good to know how we have created a perfect working condition for the 52-year-old to thrive in. Spurs will face Norwich City on Sunday, and we hope to build upon the performance against Thomas Frank’s side last time around.
There will be tougher tests for Conte and Spurs in the months to come. Hopefully he will have more reason to cheer as the time goes on.
