Mauricio Pochettino refuses to rule out Paris Saint-Germain signing Tottenham Hotspur star Tanguy Ndombele

Mauricio Pochettino has not ruled out the possibility of Paris Saint-Germain signing Tottenham Hotspur star Tanguy Ndombele in the January transfer window. The central midfielder is out of favour at the club and could be on the verge of leaving N17.

Tottenham and PSG are engaged in negotiations to discuss the possibility of a loan deal for Ndombele. The English club wants the player’s entire wages to be paid for the rest of the season if they are to approve the move. The French club has contacted the midfielder’s representatives to discuss a potential temporary transfer.

Speaking in the post-match presser (h/t Fabrizio Romano), Pochettino has refused to address the talks surrounding a potential reunion in the French capital. However, he added that his club are always open for improvement, especially with just days left in the winter transfer market.

“I’m not talking about Ndombele because he’s not in our club. PSG are open to progress, to improve. I think everything is open, one week left.”

Pochettino to the rescue?

Unless there is a drastic change in the next few days, it is likely that the Frenchman would probably be leaving looking at how his situation has gone from bad to worse over the past two weeks. He was omitted by Antonio Conte in recent matchday squads, a sign of what could come.

The Tottenham ace has also been forced to train alone following the incident during the 3-1 FA Cup victory against Morecambe. While it may seem harsh, it is also deserved, especially after his reaction to getting substituted when the team was trailing 1-0.

The Argentinian boss could truly be our saviour once again if he could get the France international off our hands. It was the Argentine who initially brought the former Olympique Lyon star to N17 and could repeat the trick, this time at PSG.

A change of scenario could just be what the Spurs star needs at this time to help him get over the current plight. A return to the French top-flight could be useful and provide the player with the chance to make a fresh start.

It remains to be seen if the North London club and PSG can reach an agreement in the coming days before the window slams shut. We do hope that it is the case as it would be in the best interest of all the parties involved.
